Perfect day for a Whitsunday wedding!

What a beautiful day for a Whitsunday wedding at Déjà Vu Restaurant at Water's Edge, Airlie Beach!  With beautiful styling by the girls at I Do Events Whitsundays, this was the perfect backdrop for my gorgeous couple Anthony & Stef as they made beautiful promises to each other and set off on a new and exciting journey together.

If you would like to have your wedding here with personalised service and attention with hands-on owner/manager/chef's Sarah and Patrice Duverger, please don't hesitate                                                                                 to contact me for further information.

Something old, something new, something borrowed....something BLUE

We have all heard the wedding tradition – Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue …. but have you heard of the ending?

The full version of the rhyme is said to be:

Something old, something new,
Something borrowed, something blue,
And a silver sixpence in her shoe.

These are all basically “good luck charms” for the bride on her big day:

Something old representing continuity; something new offers hope for the future; something borrowed is usually an item from a happily married friend or family member, whose good fortune in marriage is supposed to carry over to the new bride; something blue stands for love, as the colour blue has been long connected to weddings and a sixpence in your shoe is a wish for good fortune in the marriage.
If you are looking for a modern marriage celebrant for your Whitsunday wedding, maybe I could be your "something blue"?!
